Richard Adler is a 30 year veteran of the sports industry and has worked with some of the most recognizable brands and talent in global sport. Most recently he was a partner in Liberty Sports Development, relaunching the iconic Philly Cycling Classic, the biggest one-day pro bike race in the USA.
From 2007-2013 Richard was the CEO of Philadelphia Triathlon, LLC (PHLTRI), a leading multisport race production company in the Mid-Atlantic region. He led the expansion of the company’s event portfolio from one event in Philadelphia to 11 events around the USA, including the Philadelphia Triathlon, SheROX Triathlon Series and the Ironman 70.3 Pocono Mountains. He managed the sale of the PHLTRI race portfolio to Competitor Group, Inc. (CGI) and continues to serve as a consultant to CGI.
His sports industry experience ranges from directing the World Championships of men’s tennis at Madison Square Garden, serving as the CMO of the AVP Tour and producing a European tour of the Harlem Globetrotters with Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. He has managed global sponsorship programs for Fortune 500 companies around major events including FIFA World Cup and the Olympics, and negotiated sponsor and venue deals of all sizes. Richard serves as the CFO for TBI, is on the advisory board of SilverLine Athletics and is founding board member of the Side-Out Foundation. He is a graduate of Vassar College and New York University’s Stern School of Business.
