AUSTIN, TX – October 11, 2016 – Triathlon Business International (TBI), the multisport industry organization dedicated to promoting the business and sport of triathlon, today announced that registration is open for its 7th Annual Conference presented by ACTIVE Network®, January 22 – 24, 2017 at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, TX. This is the must-attend conference where the business of triathlon gets done.
With the theme Profitability & Success in Triathlon – Sharing Solutions to Shape the Future of Multisport, attendees will get the latest information, tools and solutions to help optimize business efforts and be successful. The conference is also the best place for important business conversations, to make valuable connections and to immerse in two days of networking.
One of the new aspects of the conference is the move to Dallas, TX. “The TBI board agreed that a change of venue and a move to the middle of the country was a sound idea,” said TBI president, Richard Adler. “Since Dallas is equidistant for east coast and west coast attendees, and has easy connections from anywhere in the U.S. and Canada, we wanted to make the Conference accessible to more industry people.”
For the first time, TBI and USA Triathlon are collaborating to consecutively present their respective annual conferences. USA Triathlons Race Director Symposium, the leading educational event for multisport race directors in the United States, will be held from Jan. 20-22, with joint programming on Sunday, Jan. 22, with TBI. “We are looking forward to collaborating with TBI to offer our race director community more educational and networking opportunities than ever before, said Kathy Matejka, USA Triathlon Event Services Director. “USA Triathlon has hosted its Race Director Symposium for more than a decade, and offering so many learning opportunities in one location means our race directors have even more chances to gain knowledge and grow their skills.”
There are discounted rates for those who want to attend both events. Discounted registration packages are available on TBIs and USA Triathlons registration sites. The combination conference package will allow an attendee to register for the second conference in a single transaction at a 25% discount.
ACTIVE Network returns as the TBI Conference presenting sponsor for the 7th year and is a USA Triathlon Gold Partner. “We are thrilled to continue our support of both Triathlon Business International and USA Triathlon, and particularly look forward to welcoming these two conferences to our hometown of Dallas,” said Sam Renouf, general manager, sports for ACTIVE Network. “We believe that the exciting lineup of networking activities, collaborative discussions and dynamic content sessions will contribute to increased success and profitability for triathlon events worldwide.”
Registration for the 7th annual TBI event opens at $595 for current TBI members and $695 for nonmembers. Registration includes all sessions, meals, the networking events and one ticket to the Ron Smith Awards celebration. Once you register for the TBI Conference you can register for the USA Triathlon Symposium at a 25% discount. Special conference hotel rates at the Fairmont Dallas are available through January 7, 2017.
