Author: Jan Fambro
Attendees connect, learn, do business and generate growth for themselves and the sport
ORANGE, CA – October 22, 2015 – Triathlon Business International (TBI), the industry organization dedicated to promoting the sport and the business of triathlon, today announced that registration is now open for its 6th Annual TBI Conference January 24 – 26, 2016 at the Marina del Rey (CA) Marriott. ACTIVE Network returns as the Conference presenting sponsor. This is the conference where the business of triathlon gets done. Speakers, workshops and networking focus on the business of the sport – trends; challenges; growth forecasts; promoting the sport; new technology; social media and mobile trends; and other topics designed specifically to bring insights into the market forces that shape the growth of triathlon, and its related sports of swimming, biking and running.
“ACTIVE is excited to continue supporting TBI’s annual conference in our 6th year as Presenting Sponsor,” said Sam Renouf, general manager, sports for ACTIVE Network. “We’ve been committed to the triathlon industry since our founding in 1999, providing innovative technologies to the leading brands in the sport, including Ironman, ITU World Triathlon Series, Lagardere Sports and WME-IMG. We look forward to catching up with old friends and meeting new ones at this year’s conference.”
Registration for the 6th annual event opens at $399 for current TBI members and $499 for nonmembers. Registration includes all sessions, meals, the networking events and one ticket to the Ron Smith Awards celebration. The non-member registration includes a one-year membership to TBI. Attendees at the 2015 conference will receive a special email invitation to register at the $399 price if signed up by November 13, 2015. Special conference hotel rates at the Marina del Rey Marriott are available through January 4, 2016.
“The growth and impact of this conference has been steady since it launched in 2011 and we appreciate ACTIVE’s support since the beginning,” said Richard Adler, TBI board member. “Together we’ve seen a lot of business conducted and new relationships being built. The conference has really become the place where the business of triathlon is done.”
Keynote speakers and conference schedules will be announced over the coming weeks.
