Mike Reilly

The "Voice of IRONMAN"

Mike Reilly has announced and provided Master of Ceremony duties at more than 1000 endurance sporting events in his career. He is best known as the “Voice of IRONMAN” Triathlons worldwide. He has welcomed more than 300,000 athletes across Ironman finish lines to the world famous phrase “You are an Ironman” since 1989. He has been the voice at Running, Triathlon and Cycling event finish lines including 27 Ironman Hawaii World Championships and 150 Ironman’s total and counting. He was the first American to work an Ironman outside of the United States in both Australia and New Zealand.

In 2014 Mike was named Exec. Vice President of Global Sales and Business Development at Events.com. Previously Mike was Vice President and one of the original 10 team members of the Active Network (Active.com) in San Diego, CA formed in 1999.  Prior to Active.com, he was one of the first Saucony and Power Bar Sporting Goods representatives in the U.S. and had represented more than 30 sporting good lines to major retailers. 

In 1984 Mike and his wife Rose started Race Place Magazine in Southern California. In 2013 they sold Race Place to their son Andy.  Race Place is still the #1 regional sources for endurance event listings.

He ran his first marathon in 1978 and completed his first triathlon in 1980 and still runs and cycles on a daily basis no matter where he is in the world.
