Chuck Brodsky

CEO, WSEM LLC

Charles L. “Chuck” Brodsky is the former CFO of Triathlon Business International and founder of The Nation’s Triathlon in Washington, DC and founder and former Chairman of the Board of Achieve Kids Tri, of Washington, DC. As the current Executive Vice President of Business Development of Modernizing Medicine, Inc. Chuck is a seasoned business veteran with more than 20 years experience helping entrepreneurial start-ups grow into well-established companies. As one of the early employees at Blackboard Inc. he served as Vice President of its Corporate, Government and K-12 teams prior to its public offering then sale to Providence Equity for $1.6b. As CEO of Washington Sports & Event Management Inc, he built a company that grew at a 950% compound average growth rate, then sold it to Falconhead Capital's Competitor Group. Prior to Blackboard and WSEM, he was a senior executive at BAR/BRI Bar Review, a unit of Thompson Publishing, prior to its sales to Leeds Equity Partners. Chuck is a graduate of the George Washington University (BBA Finance) and the John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He has passed bar exams in Illinois, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Michigan, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, and Florida. He holds an instrument rating as a private pilot and is an avid triathlete, four times Ironman competitor and adventure racer.
